If you look past ByK Bikes clever design and cool looks you will notice that even the smallest details have been considered. In these parts you can see our attention to detail and expertise.

Frame: Lightweight Alloy

At the heart of every of ByK kids bike is a class leading design frame. At just 1kg ensures not only a light and easy bike to ride but also our class-leading manufacturer.  Our ergonomic design also ensurs a great fit.

Wheels: Alloy Rims

Light wheels really make pedalling easier for children, professional bike riders insist on them. Add our taller more efficient wheel sizing has a dynamic advantage.  We have cool looking radial spokes on the front wheel for a bit of that "bling" factor.

Tyres: Low Profile

ByK kids bikes smooth faster rolling tyres don’t wear little legs out so easily. Most kids BMX bikes have tyres so wide with big knobs that those same little legs really struggle.  It's a bit like comparing gumboots to running shoes.  Of course we have used valves that you can pum p up at the petrol station as standard but we have also added improved tube quality for long term convenience.

Brakes: Rear Coaster Brake. Alloy V Rear & Alloy Side Pull Front Calipers

In every respect greater safety is what each ByK kids bike is about. When it comes to brakes we have used the best of both worlds.  For hand control brakes the ByK kids bike has a Alloy V brake on the rear and front and a front Alloy caliper for superior performance. A traditional coaster stylke is also available for simple and safe foot braking.

Brake Lever: Alloy

The fully adjustable Alloy levers are designed for small children's hands that are growing bigger. Alloy makes it light without flex and is a smoother mechanical action. At Kids Bike Co. stopping is just as important as starting, that is why we have sought out the best brakes we could find.

Saddle:  Comfort Midi

Small children have a narrow pelvis. We believe for a child to ride comfortably and in the correct position the saddle should be padded and matching the size of their body - we have done just that with the comfort midi.

Handlebars: Ergonomic V-bars

Our custom sized and shaped ergonomic V bars is another unique design on each ByK kids bike. By considering shoulder width, riding position, safety and comfort we have designed the really cool looking ergonomic V-bars. Grips are sized to fit small hands too.
